A Tribute to Black Art:
A Black History Month Benefit Concert
February 28, 2026, from 6-9 PM at North River Church of Christ

Net ticket proceeds as well as a percentage of vendor sales will support Love Beyond Walls®, a community partner of HOPE worldwide - North River Atlanta Chapter. Their work is devoted to telling the stories of the unseen and building relationships with people to walk with them out of poverty and homelessness. We will focus support on one of their initiatives, Zion's Closet, to help build their next resource room within a Title I school where students and families living with the challenges of intense poverty can receive essential items such as uniforms, shoes, school supplies, hygiene kits, food, and clothing, while also creating a sense of dignity, care, and belonging.

Youth Villages Birthday Heroes

The rescheduled party in February will celebrate December, January, AND February birthdays, so we will need as many volunteers as we can get! Join us for an afternoon of celebrating birthdays with children residing at Youth Villages, a highly respected, comprehensive treatment program for children and youth with emotional and behavioral challenges due to childhood trauma. 2 Baseball Buddies Games:
Saturday, May 16th @ 10:00 & 11:15 am
14 Volunteers needed for each of these games!
This program pairs volunteers 1:1 with children with disabilities as they play a game of baseball, while the players' parents get to sit in the stands and enjoy watching their children play. All North River volunteers together will be paired with one team and join them for their games. These games begin at 10:15 (please arrive at 10:00 to meet with the team) and 11:30 (arrive at 11:15) and will last approximately one hour. This is a wonderful serving opportunity that is fun for everyone!
*Volunteers ages 11+ can volunteer by themselves *Volunteers younger than 11 must have an adult accompanying them.
Location: Horizon Field, 4000 S. Main Street, Acworth, GA 30101 - on the soft baseball field next to orange and blue playground
