Youth & Family Hold Day of Service

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

This past Sunday, January 18th, our Youth and Family ministry held a day of service during their worship time in honor of MLK Day on the 19th. The cooperation, the attention to detail, and the genuine spirit of love came through as the teens and their parents worked through the different stations: sorting Publix breads and sweets to be shared with our local community partners who serve all over Marietta; writing cards to encourage JamQuest students in Nairobi, Kenya; painting birthday cards for the children at Youth Villages (led by artist Beebe Hargrove); sorting MLK Day food donations; creating Care Packs to help neighbors experiencing homelessness; and sorting Black History books to find books about MLK for children at local apartment complexes on MLK Day, and to be distributed for free at the upcoming Tribute to Black History concert on North River's Campus on February 28.

So grateful for these kids and their families and their hearts for service!
