Goodness Gorillas visit Mission 1:27

Our wonderful volunteers shared the story of The Goodness Gorillas with the children at Mission 1:27 at Walton Ridenour in Kennesaw, Georgia on June 5th!

The story follows a group of schoolchildren who resolve to band together to do good deeds but whose newfound ambitions are challenged by a difficult classmate who teases them and frustrates their efforts. Their determination to see the best in everyone ultimately leads them to reach out to their troublesome classmate when his beloved dog dies; their unexpected act of kindness changes his heart and leads to him to accept their surprising invitation to join their crew.

The children at Mission 1:27 were captivated with the reading of the story by our leader Noelle, and all were drawn into the story of how they can be more like Jesus. The children took time to make kindness coupons in order to be a ‘goodness gorilla’ in their community!
