April Birthday Heroes Celebration

Our Saturday, April 26th, party took on an Easter theme as the children hunted for a total of 480 plastic eggs that were hidden with candy prizes inside each one. One boy exclaimed, “I hit the mother-load!” when he saw what was in his eggs. Besides the eggs, the girls also received cute Easter socks, a gift from a donor, which had them jumping up and down in excitement! During the reading of the book You Are Special by Max Lucado, Xavier said the girls in her party got drawn into the story. Silence fell over them as they listened and internalized the message of the story. Each party has many unique moments, for the children and the volunteers.
